AN EXTRAORDINARY YOGYAKARTA

There are some bases that differ Yogyakarta and other provinces in Indonesia, such as its great number of college, well exist culture, and its low cost of living. In Yogyakarta, there are only few state colleges. But the number of the private one is larger than any provinces in Indonesia. That's the reason why Yogyakarta is called as 'city of education'. Many Students from other provinces in Indonesia come to this province to gain their education. It also make Yogyakarta to be full of different people from different cultures, and languages. Even, many foreign students study here. Although those students bring different cultures, but Yogyakarta, its government, and people still keep their culture very well. We can see it from many tourist destinations, traditional ceremonies, their social ethics, the government led by Sultan, and Kraton, which is the center or the symbol of Yogyakarta's culture. On the other hand, we know that some provinces in Indonesia have lost the origin of their cultures, because of technology, or fast development, for example, Jakarta, which is the capital city and the biggest city in Indonesia. Perhaps, the most significant difference between Yogyakarta and other provinces is the low price of living here. Its cost of study, transportation, and life are very cheap. In contrast, some other provinces have a high standard of living, locally in their social and economic life. In summary, by looking at these aspects, we conclude that Yogyakarta is more comfortable than other provinces in Indonesia for the people who will have their studies, or enjoy life after their retirement.
