That Singer

This is September 27th, 2011. I have just had a dinner with my friends in the usual place we took. I had a bad choice by deciding to have a fried rice with a combination of shrimp. My father can cook a better one! However, that was not the most point I want to describe here. It was about a street singer we frequently met there. He wore a hat, jacket, and had an acoustic guitar, playing some songs, mostly the traditional ones.

He moved from one corner to the other one, singing without having a look at his audiences. One thing I gave attention at is his confidence in doing that. Sometimes, he looked at the sky, and merged with the song incredibly. Though some of us had never heard the song previously, we could enjoy that song, cause the lyric was simple and so much memorable. Most street singers compose their own songs, creatively

In the ending part of his performance, he gave us some reminders and advice. One of them I clearly remember was that we have to be careful in choosing our partner in life, and love. Moreover, he told us to lessen the speed when we had a drive on streets. Lastly, he wished us luck and good night. Wonderful.

There were only a thousand rupiah we gave him, but that was relatively less than what we got from him. Such an entertainment. Not an amusement. Be distinctive about that.
